Sports Zone Baseball 8u & 9u Developmental Team Tryouts for the 2024 Season.
Tryout Dates: (Player only needs to attend 1 tryout)
Friday February 2, 2024 (5:00-7:00pm)
Saturday February 3, 2024 (12:00-2:00pm)

Registration: ALL players must pre-register for their select tryout date(There is no tryout fee)
What to expect if you are asked to play for Sports Zone Baseball for the 2023/2024 season:
Sports Zone’s mission is to develop each individual athlete to become the best player they can be. Our program is designed for the committed player to maximize their potential. Our consistent year-round skill development and game play provides each player with the tools needed to reach their goals! Each player need to develop at their own pace while having FUN and enhancing their love of the sport!
SPRING TRAINING 2024 SESSIONS (March, April)
Weekly Practice:
Dates: Friday(s) March 1,8,15,22,29 April 5,12,19,26 May 3,10,17,24
Time: 5pm-7pm - ALL LEVELS – Estimated Times
Focus: Baseball skill development, conditioning, preparation for Outdoor games SPORTS ZONE PLAYER BENEFITS INCLUDED IN YOUR PLAYER FEES
1)FACILITY MEMBERSHIP:
Year-Round Access to Batting cages and Indoor fields
Professional Baseball Coaching at all practices and games
Discounts on any SZ training classes/camps/clinics (Not Private Lessons)
***Parents or players must call 315-701-1111 for availability of cages and fields, the best days for cage use during the busy season will be Friday all day, Saturday’s before 10:30 AM and Sunday’s after 5PM. Please note we will have classes scheduled in the cages on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Thursday’s from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM***
2) TOURNAMENTS & GAMES (This is all Minimum events):
Minimum 5 Scheduled Tournaments/Events (Combination of In Town and Out of Town)
4 Local Tourney Dates May 31- June 2, June 14-16, July 5-7, July 26-28
1 Out of Town Tourney – August 9-11 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
3)PRACTICES AND TRAINING (26-30 practice dates - minimum):
24-30 Total Practices March through August
Full use of our indoor facility for you to practice on your own (You are not allowed to bring NON-SZ members to practices with you) – use of pitching machines at Sports Zone
