Sports Zone Hitting League
Sharpen your skills this winter by playing in NEW Sports Zone’s Hitting league. Play in an action packed, fast paced, exciting and FUN Hitting League at Sports Zone Court St. This is a HITTING ONLY League where there are NO defenders. Each week we will have composite stats and award winners. All award winners and statistical champions will be featured on our social media pages!
Sports Zone Saturday Hitting League Dates:
Age Groups: 10u, 11u, 12u,
Session 1 [2023] : November 11, 18, 25 December 2, 9, 16
Session 2 [2024]: January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10,
Session 3 [2024] : February 24, March 2, 9, 16, 23
Team Fee:
$595.00 (minimum of 6- 8 players/ ideal roster is 6 players)
(Any parent may put together and coach a team)

Cost Includes:
1 hour of cage time pre-game.
Unlimited swings pre-game.
50 minute timed game.

Sports Zone Academy- Hitting League Rules
Hitting League Rules:
1. 50-minute timed games, drop dead at the buzzer but finish the batter (Do not finish the inning).
2. No extra innings, games will end in a tie.
3. Each team can use 1 cage only for an hour prior to each game.
4. 10 run rule per inn max unless final batter hits an Automatic HR (Therefore 13 run max)
5. There is no run rule per game.
6. Each batter gets 2 pitches MAX. If the batter takes or fouls off those 3 pitches they are out
7.If the batter hits a pitch fair it is a live ball unless the umpire calls it a foul ball (Umpire Judgment).
8. Foul balls are at the judgment of the umpire.
9. No Bunting – This is a hitting game! NO BUNTING allowed.
10. HR’s are at the judgment of the umpire – generally the ball must be hit off the yellow line on the back wall or above the colored rope along the net down the foul lines. The ball cannot hit the ceiling first.
11. If the game starts early, the time limit is still a 50-minute game. If the game starts late, the game still must end 10 minutes prior to the start of the next game to give plenty of time for teams to enter and exit the field.
12. Any other rules not covered on this rule sheet are at the discretion of the umpire(s) on the field and or the league directors.
13. No team huddles before or after innings (it's too slow)
14. Coaches- have a detailed line up with players first and last names for statistical purposes.
15. Each batted ball will get labeled as X (out) 1 (single) 2 (double) 3 (triple) 4 (HR).
16. Player of the game- gets awarded to player with the highest point total
17. Player of the day- awarded to the player with the highest point total for the entire day
18. Award Sponsors are Dick's Sporting Goods, Powerade, Coke.
19. Statistics- Each player will have a weekly updated hitting statistics. Leader boards will be posted at Sports Zone Court Street and via social media shout outs!
Notes: The Hitting League is designed to be a fast paced- Hitting League game. It is not intended to be a slow paced micro- managed game. The Ultimate goal is for kids to have fun and practice what they have been learning within their team practices. Each player should get more reps than they would otherwise get in an actual game. THIS IS INDOOR LEAGUE- not an actual game!!
